County Continues Uproar Over Amber Miller’s Death

Cocke County continues to be in an uproar over the death of 29 year old Amber Miller after an apparent dog attack on July 12th. Amber Miller’s family says that she had numerous bites all over her body and her arm was nearly torn off in the attack. The family says she developed sepsis and died from her injuries on Sunday night. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is investigating that attack and one that resulted in the death of a man in April in the same location of Jimtown Road. The TBI is now assisting in this investigation. The Cocke County Sheriff’s office is urging people to refrain from spreading unconfirmed information over social media. There are details that the sheriff’s office is not releasing to protect the integrity of the investigation.
