Covid Cases Dropping

The number of Covid cases continues to drop. There are currently 278 cases in Cocke County…but the daily average of new cases has dropped from 39 to 26 over the last 2 weeks. Greene County has seen a good drop in cases. At one point in the past 30 days, Greene County had over 1,000 cases…that is now down to 571. Elsewhere Hamblen County has 309 active cases…down from over 400 just 2 weeks ago. Jefferson County’s new cases per day has dropped significantly over the last 2 weeks. On September 21st, Jefferson County was averaging 54.9 new cases a day…that has dropped down to 26.8 with 309 active cases at this time. Sevier County following the same local trend as their new cases per day have fallen from 95 two weeks ago to under 53.
