Covid Cases Rise In December
Covid cases continue to rise in East Tennessee…most from the Omicron variant. For the 2 week period of December 16th-29th…Cocke County reported 414 total cases…with 221 of those coming in the past 7 days…and the county is averaging 47 cases per day. Only Sevier County had a higher total case rate for that 2 week period with 625 cases reported. Greene County reported 378 cases…Hamblen County had 351 and Jefferson County had 320 cases for the 2 weeks. Cocke County has now seen a total of 8,141 cases of Covid throughout the pandemic.
