Crash Injurers Newport Man

A Newport man was injured Friday night in a car accident in front of Hardee’s on Cosby Hwy. According to police, 20 year old Tiesha Niles turned left out of McDonald’s onto northbound Cosby Highway. She failed to yield to a car that was traveling in the right hand lane of northbound Cosby Hwy. That vehicle was being driven by 25 year old Nicholas Wallin. His vehicle left the roadway, struck a wooden barrier in front of Hardee’s, then rolled over coming to rest on its top. Wallin was injured in the crash and was transported to Newport Medical Center. Tiesha Niles was cited for failure to yield.
