Deadline For Voter Registration Less Than A Week Away
Five weeks from today, Tennesseans will go to the polls for the 2024 primary election. Voters have to declare whether they want a republican or democrat ballot in this primary. On the ballot is the selection for each party’s Presidential nominee. On the republican side, although several names are on the ballot, at this time the two main candidates still running are former President Donald Trump and his former Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.
Also on the republican ballot is Assessor of Property for Cocke County between incumbent Macie Reed and primary challenger Barry Huffhines. There is no Democrat running, so whoever wins the primary will be the the Assessor of Property.
The deadline to vote in the primary election is coming soon, as it is next Monday, February 5th. Early Voting then begins on February 14th. March 5th is known as Super Tuesday as 16 states including Tennessee will head to the polls.
