Deadline This Friday For Sheriff’s Office Openings

Don’t forget this Friday is the deadline to drop off an application for the openings with the Cocke County Sheriff’s office. The Cocke County Civil Service Board announced last week that they are looking to fill jobs in the sheriff’s office including patrol officers, corrections officers, school resource officers and bailiff. You can pick up an application at the sheriff’s office. All applications need to be turned in by Friday at 4pm at 111 Court Avenue in Newport…that way the civil service board can begin setting up dates and times for civil service and agility testing of the applicants.
