Deadly Shooting In Greeneville

One person is dead and another was injured after a shooting in Greeneville Sunday morning. Greeneville police say they were called to the 100 block of Old Asheville Highway at 3 a.m. Sunday morning about shots being fired. Officers found two gunshot victims which were transported to the hospital. One of those victims, 22 year old Juan Tauscher has now died from his wounds. The details surrounding that shooting have not been released but are currently under investigation. There are no suspects as of yet in that shooting. Police are asking anyone that was in the area of Old Asheville Highway or Whirlwind road that may have surveillance of the roadway to contact them at (423) 639-7111.
