Deceased Person’s Home Burglarized

A Cocke County deputy was dispatched out to a home on Banjo Way in Newport regarding a break in. The property’s manager Patricia Buchanan stated that a vacant mobile home on her property had been broken into and in her description…ransacked. The original owner of the mobile home is deceased and someone sometime Monday night stole three security cameras…plus some furniture had been removed as well as some movies taken. Buchanan told deputy Alison Brooks that she has a witness who saw a man named “Darius” taking items from the home…he denies those charges. That case is under investigation.
