Dispute Between Neighbors Leads To Arrest
A dispute between neighbors led to a dangerous situation in Del Rio on Friday. According to the Cocke County Sheriff’s department, deputies were called to Mill Creek road and while enroute they were advised of shots being fired. Jeffrey Poleet and Tristan Buchannan told deputy Heath Willis that an argument had ensued after finding their neighbors’ dogs in their driveway. 47 year old Jesica Campbell, the neighbor in question then hurled a racial slur at Buchannan and the altercation erupted which climaxed by Campell trying to run Poleet and Buchannan over with her car. Both men stated they threw rocks at Campbell’s car as she was attempting to run them over. A nearby neighbor, trying to de-escalate the situation fired two shots in the air. Jessica Campbell was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment with a vehicle and aggravated assault.
