Disturbance At The Cosby Run Campground
Cocke County Sheriff’s deputies were called out to the Cosby Run Campground on South Hwy 32 in Cosby Wednesday. Management and residents were complaining about a man causing a disturbance. The man had been standing in the campground for over an hour repeatedly chanting “Praise God”. Sgt. Miranda Williams of the Cocke County Sheriff’s office found ID on the man…he was 27 year old Kenneth Felts of Lebanon, TN and he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. felts continued to chant while deputies were trying to speak with him. When they attempted to handcuff him for public intoxication, he dropped to his knees and yelled “Praise God”. At the jail, when officers attempted to pull off his boots, felts screamed “this is my soul, please don’t”. Felts finally calmed down and was booked into the Cocke County jail.
