Doctors Honored For Saving K9
A K-9 officer has returned to duty in Sevierville. Back in May, Sevierville police were involved in a shootout with a suspect at a home in the New Market area. During that exchange of gunfire, K9 Hank was shot. His handler quickly took him back to the vehicle and started first-aid to stop the bleeding. K9 Hank was then rushed into emergency surgery at Parkway Animal Hospital, where Dr’s. George Cline and Brittni Jones Moore performed emergency surgery to save K9 Hank’s life. The two doctors were honored last night at the meeting of the Sevierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen. K9 Hank is now back on full duty with the Sevierville Police Department.
