Dog Dies In Mobile Home Fire

Crews responded to a mobile home fire in Cocke County during the holiday weekend. The fire broke out in Del Rio at a home on Worley Loop Road on December 22. The occupants of the home were not in the home at the time. They arrived at their home that evening and found it was totally engulfed in flames. A dog was in the home at the time and perished in that fire. An electrical issue is suspected as the cause of the fire. One of the occupants of the home told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that there had been previous issues with electricity in that home.
