Douglas Lake To Host Major Fishing Event

Douglas Lake will play host to another major fishing event next year. Visit Jefferson County has announced that Major League Fishing has chosen Douglas Lake to be stop 4 on the schedule for the 2026 Tackle Warehouse Invitational. The top prize for the event can be up to $115,000 for the winner. Those anglers participating in the Tackle Warehouse Invitational earn points towards qualifying for the Tackle Warehouse Invitational Championships and qualification into the prestigious Bass Pro Tour.

Stop 4 of the schedule will be May 8-10. The season actually begins in February in Florida with stops in South Carolina and Alabama before heading to Douglas Lake.
