Drugs And Cash Seized During Traffic Stop On Hwy 411

A traffic stop led to a drug arrest in Jefferson County on Monday. A Jefferson County deputy spotted a vehicle that had a “be on the lookout order” for it. That vehicle was traveling on US Hwy 411 at a high rate of speed. the deputy conducted a traffic stop, and requested assistance. A K9 deputy and his K9 partner conducted an initial search and got a positive hit for the odor of narcotics. Upon a search of the vehicle, Deputies located and seized a large bag of marijuana, small bag of meth, loaded 9mm pistol, baggies and scales and $1,165 cash. Arrested was Anthony Redd of Marion NC. He was transported to the Jefferson County Detention Center where he is currently being held on a $20,000 bond
