Early Voting Ends This Week

If you are looking to stay out of the lines on election day next week, your window of opportunity to vote early is rapidly coming to an end. We are entering the final few days of early voting. The early voting site is open in the Western Plaza Shopping Center today and Thursday from 9-5, then Friday from 9-6 and the last day for early voting is this Saturday from 9-noon. The ballot is longer than normal this year, so longer than normal wait times are expected at the regular polling sites on election day next week, August 4th. So far, over 2700 voters have taken advantage of early voting.
If you do not vote early, you will have to go to your normal polling place on election day. This election is the general election for the county and voters will choose a new county mayor and county sheriff. This is also the primary for federal and state offices for November.
