Fatal Drowning On Douglas Lake

A fatal drowning in Douglas Lake yesterday evening. The Jefferson County sheriff’s office says that first responders arrived at 7:31 last night to the Leadvale Lake Access area about a reported drowning. Responders located and recovered a male juvenile. Jefferson County EMS began life saving measures and transported the victim to the Morristown Hamblen ER, but he later died. Additional information and the identification of the victim will be released later today.
