FEMA Opens Cocke County DRC In New Location
One day after closing the Disaster Recovery Center in Cocke County, FEMA says the Recovery Center is now back open in a new location. FEMA closed the location at the Cocke County Recreation Department Tuesday night after operating there since just after the September 27/28 flood.
On Thursday, FEMA opened a new Disaster Recovery Center in the old Wal-Mart building on west Hwy 25/70. That center will be open Monday thru Saturday from 8am-7pm and is closed on Sunday.
FEMA is also reopening a Disaster Recovery Center today in Carter County, after closing their previous location on Wednesday night.
The deadline to apply for FEMA disaster relief funds is just four weeks from Monday, on January 7.
FEMA is also asking that if you have applied for disaster funds, and you have changed your phone number, make sure that you notify FEMA so they have your current contact information in case they need to get in touch with you.
