Former Vol Football Star Charged In Prostitution Sting
A popular former Tennessee Vols running back is in trouble with the law. Jay Graham and two others were arrested Wednesday in a prostitution sting operation. 50-year-old Herman “Jay” Graham III has been charged with patronizing prostitution with a minor and solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape. Detectives from the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Special Victims Division along with the TBI ran a prostitution sting by posting advertisements on adult escort websites. Police reported that Graham allegedly replied to one of the ads and communicated with an undercover officer disguised as a 16-year-old girl.
Graham and the undercover officer agreed on a price of $120 dollars for sex, and upon arriving to an agreed spot and handing the money to the officer, Graham was detained and arrested immediately. Police also arrested 46 year old Arron Barnack who was charged with 2 counts of patronizing prostitution with a minor and 2 counts of solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape. The third man arrested was 20 year old Anthony Proctor who was charged the same as Graham. Both Graham and Barnacks’s bonds were set at $45,000 and Proctor’s bond was set at $41,000.
Jay Graham was a star running back at UT back in the 1990’s. He was drafted in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens and and played in the NFL for six seasons.
