Gas Prices Fall Slightly

Gas prices in the area are starting a slow trend downward. According to the AAA, gas prices fell on an average of about 1 1/2 cents over the last week. Locally, in Cocke County according to gas buddy, prices range from $2.84 to $3.03. It’s a little cheaper in Sevier County with prices ranging from $2.71-$2.92. Hamblen County has the highest average price in the area with prices ranging from $2.92 to $3.05. Greeneville has the lowest average prices in the area ranging from a low of $2.74 to a high of $2.79.

The lowest price in the state is $2.59 in Murfreesboro. Tennessee continues to be well under the national average which currently sits at $3.28 a gallon.
