Gas prices are trending downward in Tennessee, that’s according to data from the AAA. The average gas price in Tennessee sits this morning at $3.13. Cocke County gas prices are above the average in Tennessee, as the price in Cocke County is averaging $3.21. The cheapest prices on the west side of Newport with some of the highest at exit 435 on Cosby Hwy. Jefferson and Hamblen counties mirror Cocke County’s average of $3.21 a gallon. Sevier County is cheaper at $3.11. But, if you want to find the cheapest gas in East Tennessee, go to Greene County where the average gas price as of this morning is $2.99. The highest gas price in Tennessee is in Williamson County at $3.50. The cheapest gas prices can be found in Paris…Tennessee…which is in Henry County out in west Tennessee. Gas prices there average $2.79 a gallon.
US average gas price as of this morning is $3.58. The cheapest gas prices are in Georgia & Texas with as average of $3.05. The highest…of course is still California at $5.58.
