Gatlinburg Police Searching For Homicide Suspect

Gatlinburg police are investigating the death of a man found in an apartment last Wednesday. Police say the man’s body was found in an apartment building at 331 Reagan Drive…that’s not far from the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Many hotels are also in that area. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased, but are searching for the man responsible for the victim’s death. Gatlinburg police and the TBI are looking for 22 year old Rosmel Danilo Rubi. He is wanted for criminal homicide and police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Rubi is 6′0″ tall and 150 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. GPD and TBI officials say a reward of up to $2,500 is available for tips leading to his arrest.
