Grandmother Victim Of Theft By Granddaughter

A Cocke County woman has pressed charges after her granddaughter made unauthorized charges. Margaret Loveday told the Cocke County Sheriff’s office that several days after her granddaughter, Destiny Scheffers had stayed with her, she noticed some unauthorized transactions on her bank account. Those transactions had the name of Destinee Grace on them and they were with Facebook Pay. The total of the transactions coming to nearly $385. Loveday told police she does not know where Scheffers is living at now and has reported the unauthorized transactions to her bank. When given the option, Loveday stated she would indeed press charges against Scheffers for the theft and the fraudulent use of her debit card.
