Greene Co Man Charged With Child Sex Crime
A Greene County man is now in custody after an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. 41 year old Marcus Earnest Johnson of Greeneville, was arrested for a charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s office, the investigation began after investigators received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning the upload of child sexual abuse material. The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at Johnson’s residence.
Johnson is currently being held at the Greene County Detention Center under a $125,000 bond. He is set to be arraigned in Greene County Court this morning. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is an affiliate with the Tennessee ICAC Task Force. That’s part of a national network of 61 coordinated task forces, representing more than 5,000 law enforcement agencies.
