Greene County Man Faces Over 50 Charges In Child Sexual Abuse Case

A Greene County man is facing multiple charges after an investigation by detectives with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and the TN Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. According to Greene County sheriff Wesley Holt, the investigation began earlier this year with Cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) involving the distribution of child sexual abuse material. 31 year old Devon James King was identified as the suspect. Investigators say that King had hundreds of images of child sexual abuse material on electronic devices in his possession. In addition, investigators learned that King sexually abused and exploited two minors in his care. Back on September 11, King was arrested on 8 counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. His bond was set at $200,000.
On Monday, Novdember 10, a Greene County Grand Jury handed down a presentment charging King with 3 counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child; 9 counts of Aggravated Sexual Battery; 13 counts of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor; 5 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor; 21 counts of Sexual Activity with an Animal.
Based on the new charges, a judge reset King’s bond to at an additional $1 million. King is being held at the Greene County Detention Center. His arraignment is set for November 26, 2025, at 9:00 am.
