Greeneville Middle School Student Passes Away
The Greeneville Middle School student who suffered a medical emergency during football practice last week, has now died. The family of 7th grader Kaden Gunter says he passed away Friday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. The 12 year old was flown from the football field to the Johnson City Medical Center and was then transported Wednesday to Vanderbilt for further treatment. A portion of ticket sales from last week’s Greeneville middle school and Greeneville High school football games was donated to Kaden Gunter’s family to help with his medical expenses and their travel expense. No exact cause of death has been released. Counselors are on hand for Greeneville Middle School students this morning who are grieving the loss of their fellow classmate. A Memorial Service for Kaden Gunter will be held at a later date.
