Crews will are going to be removing fallen trees and branches, rock debris from recent storms. They will also take this opportunity to also remove litter and will mow along road shoulders.
The lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Drivers should reduce speeds, drive with extra caution, and anticipate delays during lane closures.
Also park officials say they will also close Alum Cave Trail this Wednesday, August 16…that’s to repair a bridge damaged by a tree during a recent storm. There will be no access to the trail during this closure. Hikers who wish to go to Mt. LeConte on August 16 may use one of the other trail routes to the summit.
