Hartford Man Charged With Aggravated Assault
A Hartford man faces two counts of aggravated assault after an incident at home in Hartford on Monday. Nancy Taylor told deputies that her son, Dustin Miller, had been fine then went into the bathroom and came back out enraged. She stated that during an ensuing argument, Miller grabbed her by the throat, pushing her out of the way, at which time he grabbed a .308 rifle which he then pointed in the face of 61 year old Sarah Grooms who was in the home. The women stated that Miller then left the residence in a 2018 Black Chevrolet Silverado pickup. A short time later a pickup matching that description was found flipped over on it’s side on Dogwood Stand Road in Hartford. Miller was on scene and was taken into custody at that time. He was under the influence of a narcotic substance. He told the arresting deputy that two men were after him and that there were other people with them in the patrol car.
