Hawkins Co. Man Faces Animal Cruelty charges
Hawkins County deputies walked into an awful site last Friday. The deputies were checking out a case of animal cruelty. When they walked into the home they found multiple dead animals including hamsters, turtles and rabbits. There were also dead white mice that had been used to feed a boa constrictor which was still alive. There were also dogs alive but they were in bad shape. Deputies said the residence was “pile high” in a trash and feces mixture, and they did not find any food or water bowls. Police have identified a suspect in that case…Justin Glen Hilton…who could face 10 counts of cruelty to animals. A witness told officers they had not seen Hilton at the residence since the first of October.
