Heavy Traffic Expected In Pigeon Forge Starting Today

Starting today be on the lookout for heavy traffic in Pigeon Forge. The Pigeon Forge Rod Run begins today and runs through Saturday. The car show will be at the Leconte Center but the Pigeon Forge police department says traffic congestion will spill over to primary, secondary and tertiary roads. They say to also look for congestion on sidewalks and parking lots the next three days. The Pigeon Forge PD says, if you are coming to that area this weekend…do not be in a hurry. It is going to take you some time to get around. They also say that motorists should be on the lookout for pedestrians, and pedestrians should be on the lookout for motorists. The police department also asks those parking in lots to please park between the lines of marked parking spaces. They say this will help with traffic congestion.
