IDB Has Special Meeting Tonight

The Industrial Development Board for Newport & Cocke County will be holding a special meeting tonight at the Tanner Building in Newport. The main issue that will be discussed tonight is to consider a resolution for the IDB to apply for a State of Tennessee Development Grant for the fiscal year of 2021-22. That grant would then be used to help pay for the expenses in improvements to the Smoky Mountain Innovation park of Cocke County that is currently being built. That meeting will begin at 5:30 this evening in Walter State classroom 204 in the Tanner Building
