Jefferson Co Student Arrested After Threatening Other Students
A Jefferson County student is in custody after threatening a group of students. Jefferson County aiuthorities say they were called to the Patriot Academy on W. Dumplin Valley Rd in Dandridge around 11:15 Thursday after a parent reported that the 15 year old student threatened several others with a handgun. Deputies and the school resource officer secured the student and found no weapon. An investigation into the incident revealed the 15 year old boy had threatened a group of students saying that would bring a firearm to school tomorrow and shoot them. The boy was then arrested and charged with making Threats of Mass Destruction. he was transported to the Richard L. Bean Juvenile Detention Center in Knoxville where he will remain pending a court appearance.
