Kroger Collard Greens Recalled
If you have bought Collard Greens from a Kroger store, you need to check your package. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Consumer and Industry Services Division has issued a public advisory to warning consumers of after Listeria was discovered in a package of collard greens sold in Tennessee. The greens in question originated from Baker Farms in Norman Park, Ga. They were distributed to Kroger stores in several states. Baker Farms has issued a voluntary recall in affected states and Kroger has requested all stores remove any unsold packages from shelves and destroy any inventory of the product. The bags of greens in question are labeled Kroger Collard Greens and include Lot Codes 110093-387 and UPC 11110-18171 with Best By date of 10-16-2023. So far there are no reports that the collard greens have made anyone ill. Lysteria can cause a high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. The Department of Agriculture is urging anyone who purchased any of the collard greens product not to consume them. Consumers may call Kroger Customer Connect at 1-800-632-6900 with any questions.
