Lady Vols Dismantle Rockets…Head To Seattle

The Lady Vols are now joining the Tennessee men in dancing into the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. Last night at Thompson Boling arena, the Lady Vols put on a clinic as they had five players in double figures in scoring. The Lady Vols led the Toledo Rockets 50-22 at the half. It would not get any closer in the second half and Tennessee cruised to a 94-47 win. The Lady Vols will now hit the road and head to Seattle where #1 seed Virginia Tech awaits Saturday night. The two teams met back in December and Virginia Tech won that matchup 59-56. This is the 36th Sweet 16 appearance in program history for the Lady Vols.

The Tennessee men are on the other side of the country in New York Thursday as they take on Florida Atlantic in the men’s Sweet 16.
