Lineman With Appalachian Electric Cooperative Killed
A lineman with Appalachian Electric was killed on Tuesday. According to a spokesperson for Appalachian Electric Cooperative, crews were working to install electrical service at a site in Grainger County around 9:20 Tuesday morning when the accident occurred. The crewmember was electrocuted and rushed to the Morristown Hamblen hospital, but did not survive. The man’s name has not been released and the incident is under investigation. Appalachian Electric along with the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration are handling the investigation.
