Mac Accused Of Waving Gun At Waffle House Arrested

Cocke County deputies were called to the Waffle House on Cosby Hwy in Newport around 2:30am Wednesday about two men inside waving around a firearm. One of those men, 38 year old Jeffrey St. John of Bean Station, was found at the KenJo Market nearby. St. John had a warrant for his arrest out of Jefferson County and was taken into custody. At the jail, Corrections Officers found a bandage on Jeffrey St. John’s right leg. Under the bandage, the officers found 22.5 grams of methamphetamine and $810 in cash. St. John now faces a charge of introduction into a penal facility.
