Two Seperate Arrests For Aggravated Assault and Possession
A Parrottsville man was arrested Friday in Cocke County after an incident that happened on Old Sevierville Hwy. A witness called 911 saying that a man and woman were walking through a yard when the man threw the woman to the ground. Sheriff’s deputies spoke with Ronetta Vance who stated she was walking with 26 year old Tyler Gibson and they were arguing when he put her in a chokehold and threw her to the ground. She also stated that Gibson bit her on the chest and arm. Deputies noted a bite mark on her arm. Gibson was located and taken into custody. He was already wanted on two warrants. He now faces charges of aggravated domestic assault, plus possession of schedule II narcotics as a syringe containing methamphetamine was found on him when he was arrested.
A Newport man was jailed Sunday after assaulting his father. David Hill stated that when he refused to let his son, Izack Hill use his phone, Izack Hill punched him in the eye. David Hill was observed by deputies to have a swollen eye and blood on his shirt from the assault. Izack Hill was taken into custody on the assault charge plus a warrant for parole violation. He also faces three counts of introduction into a penal facility as he was found at the jail with Suboxone, Xanax and a knife with a 4 inch blade was found hidden in his boot.
