Man arrested That Hit Morristown Crossing Guard

The person who hit a crossing guard in Morristown has now been arrested. The Morristown Polcie Department says that 69 year old Carolyn King was stopping traffic in front of the Witt Elementary School on US 25E. That school is about one mile north Interstate 81. She stated that a white pickup truck began edging toward her traveling southbound on 25E. She gave hand signals for the driver of the truck to stop but he continued to move towards her until his vehicle was actually touching her legs with the bumer. The driver then accelerated enough to knock her off her feet, leading to her suffering minor injuries. The truck then drove around her and took off on Hwy 25E eventually getting onto southbound I-81 at exit 8. A concerned citizen followed the truck to get a tag number for police. The truck was registered to 45 year old Donnie Gray of Morristown who was later arrested. Ms. King was treated at the hospital and was later released. Gray is charged with aggravated assault.
