Man Assaults Nurse At Newport Medical Center

A man was arrested at the Newport Medical Center April 11 after he assaulted a nurse. Hospital security told police that 28 year old Christian Ramsey was refusing to leave the hospital property. Ramsey had taken a swing at one of the nurses and missed, but them swung again and landed a punch this time to the left side of the nurse’s face. The nurse requested that police file charges against Ramsey who also was yelling and threatening the police officer. Ramsey admitted to assaulting the nurse because he said she touched his wheelchair. He has been charged with assaulting a first responder and disorderly conduct.
