Man Charged In Hamblin County With Killing Stepfather
A man has been charged with killing his step-father in Hamblen County. According to the Hamblen County Sheriff’s office, just before 9pm New Year’s night, deputies were dispatched to a stabbing incident in the northern part of the county. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, 57 year old Mark Waller deceased at the scene. Waller’s stepson, 21-year-old Tristan Doan, was spotted running from the scene. A coordinated search between the Hamblen County Sheriff’s office and the Morristown Police Department began. Early Thursday morning, Doan was found and taken into custody. He has been formally charged with one count of first-degree murder. He is being held in the Hamblen County Jail without bond. Hamblen County Sheriff Chad Mullins says the case is still under investigation.
