Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Police were called to the Motel 6 in Newport Friday evening about a domestic assault. While police were interviewing the female victim, a man walked outside from the motel entrance and began hitting himself in the face. When asked if the man was okay…the subject took an aggressive stance, then began punching himself in the face again. That man was 50 year old William Anders. He was taken into custody for his own safety…he is charged with disorderly conduct.
