Man Flips Truck On Dark Hollow Road

A man was taken to jail in Cocke County Sunday after wrecking his truck on Dark Hollow Road in Cosby. According to the sheriff’s department, 20 year old Mark Saul of Cosby was found lying on the front porch of a home close to where his pickup truck had landed after he flipped it. An investigation by deputies showed that Saul was traveling at a high rate of speed when he left the roadway. Saul struck a parked vehicle before flipping the truck and landing in the yard of a home. Deputies say his vehicle traveled around 250 feet before coming to a stop. Empty beer cans were found that had been thrown from Saul’s truck. Mark Saul was transported to the Newport Medical Center for evaluation before then being transferred to the Cocke County jail where he was placed on suicide watch by Jail staff.
