Man Found Unconscious Arrested For Drugs
The Cocke County Sheriff’s department responded to a call at the Bridgeport Market on east Hwy 25/70 Monday Afternoon. A man was passed out in the driver’s side of his vehicle, with his foot on the accelerator. Deputy Randy Forbes found a red truck with smoke coming from the engine and a man lying on the ground beside it not moving. Forbes would get a light pulse but the man did not seem to be breathing. Three doses of Narcan were administered and EMS arrived to provide further care and brought the man identified as 45 year old Michael Runyon back to consciousness. An inventory of Runyon’s truck found a metal container with a greenish blue pill suspected to be Ecstasy and also 2 small baggies with a brown powdery substance inside suspected to be Heroin with Fentanyl. Runyon refused further medical treatment and was arrested for schedule I possession…two counts.
