Man Overdoses At Knights Inn Newport

Sunday morning Newport police responded to the Knights Inn about a man who was overdosing. 44 year old Audie Perkins gave police entry into the room, he then fled from the scene. The man who was in the room overdosing was 33 year old Brandon Orr. He was breathing but his breaths were very shallow. After two doses of Narcan, Orr opened his eyes and started breathing faster but was still unresponsive. A third dose of Narcan was administered and Orr finally came back to consciousness. Orr was transported to the Newport Medical Center for further medical evaluation.
