Man Purchases Chainsaw Through False Pretenses

A man has a warrant out for his arrest after he purchased a chainsaw through false pretenses. A woman called police this week and told them that her nephew had gone to Cocke County Co-op in Newport and purchased a $329 chainsaw using her account without her permission. The Co-op had video footage of the incident. 42 year old Jason Lane had used an unknown female pose as the woman on the account. A warrant has now been sworn out for larceny against Mr. Lane.
