Man Reports Break In At 2 Campers
A Florida man contacted the Cocke County Sheriff’s office Sunday to report a break in at two campers on a piece of property in the Bybee area. Scott McDonald of Jacksonville, Fl. stated that he owns a piece of property on Joe Reed Rd and was contacted by a neighbor recently saying that one of the campers’ doors was standing wide open. MacDonald came up to investigate and found that both campers on the property had been broken into and ransacked. The propane tank was stolen off of one of the campers and the hot water heater was stolen out of the other. Nine propane tanks stored under one of the campers has also ben taken. A barn is also on the property and MacDonald stated that some random electrical wiring and other small electrical items were stolen from the barn. The total value of the theft is over $1,000.
