Man Shot In Dandridge

Jefferson County police are investigating the shooting of a man in Dandridge. Deputies were dispatched Sunday night to a home on Chestnut Grove Rd in Dandridge. Upon their arrival they found a man lying in the front yard of that home with a single gunshot wound. Deputies detained the shooter at the scene. That person’s identity and that of the victim have not been released. The victim was transported to UT Medical Center in Knoxville with non life threatening injuries.
