Man Wanted In 2022 Jefferson Co Apartment Shooting Still At Large

Jefferson County authorities are still on the lookout for a man who is suspected in a shooting at a Strawberry Plains apartment building last fall. Demarco Williams is charged with attempted first degree murder, 2 counts of aggravated assault, especially aggravated kidnapping and carjacking. Williams is a black male with a beard, 6′ 3″ tall weighing approx. 170 pounds. Williams is wanted by both the Knoxville police department and the Jefferson County sheriff’s office. Authorities say that Williams is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should call law enforcement, or call East Tennessee Crime Stoppers with a tip. Tips can remain anonymous and can result in a reward.
