Man Wanted In Cocke & Jefferson County Captured In Scott County

A man that was the subject of an East Tennessee Crime Stoppers post is now in custody. East Tennessee Crime Stoppers announced last week that 32 year old Jerry L. Stevens Stevens was wanted for a carjacking spree that stretched across Scott County, Jefferson County, and Cocke County. Stevens was wanted for Aggravated Assault and Theft over $10,000 in Jefferson County. Stevens is also wanted for outstanding warrants in Cocke County. The post released on facebook stated that Stevens was presumed to be armed and dangerous. On Saturday afternoon, police in Scott County, Tennessee announced that Stevens was apprehended by Oneida police after a pursuit ended when Stevens’ car was disabled. He was then captured after a brief chase on foot. More charges are expected to be filed against Stevens.
