Man Wanted In Other Counties Arrested In Cosby

A Cocke County deputy was patrolling in the area of Stoneview Way, in Cosby when he observed a red truck with a rear passenger brake light out. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, the driver was identified as 51 year old Joshua Phillips of Newport. Dispatch notified the deputy that Phillips had active warrants for his arrest out of Knox county and also Franklin Tn., a suburb of Nashville. Both counties advised they were willing to extradite. Joshua Phillips was placed under arrest and transported to the Cocke County Jail to be held until he could be transported to the other jurisdictions.
