Man Who Held Woman Against Her Will Charged

A man who is currently incarcerated in the Washington County jail in Jonesborough is now being charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault regarding a woman who had been hospitalized in Blount County. The hospital notified the Washington County Sheriff’s office that one of their patients had stated they were held against their will in a camper located in Chuckey, TN. The victim stated that 26 year old Johnny Ray McNabb of Seymour had held her against her will for more than 30 days inside the camper. The victim stated that McNabb forced her to use drugs plus threatened her. She says he took her phone away keeping her from calling for help. She also stated that she attempted to escape numerous times, but McNabb refused to let her go anywhere without him. She escaped when McNabb went to sleep and she was able to sneak out of the camper.

She says she then made her way to Knoxville where she sought treatment for her injuries. McNabb was being held in Washington County jail on numerous warrants when he was charged in this case on Monday.
